Born on October 9th, Christina is the daughter of James E. and Constance A. Perrin. She is the youngest of six siblings (Veronica Sandra, James II, Patricia, Patrick, and Christina), raised in Winston-Salem, NC. Reared by her mother, "Elder Perrin," as she was affectionally known, Christina and her siblings were guided and equipped with biblical teaching from the word of God. After her father's passing at 12 years old, it was important to her mother to raise them to honor God and model Godly principles. One principle most vital to her was giving and receiving LOVE. She lived by loving GOD, loving family, and loving others. That love she taught her children went beyond them and was spread abroad to all she met. As a close-knit family, her mother empowered them with tools to help guide them through a world of uncertainties in love. She believed and modeled solid biblical principles and desired for her children to do everything in and with love. She lived by "Love Isn't Love unless it's given away."
Born into a musically motivated family of singers, her father, James E. Perrin II, carved his name into Gospel music as one of the lead singers of the Group "Hallelujah Gospel Singers." Her sister, Patricia Perrin, formed a group called "Peace of Mind,"best known for their impeccable acapella harmonies. Christina was drawn to music at an early age, and her passion for singing grew and followed her throughout her youth and teen years. Christina's melodious singing permeated her life, and she knew it would become more than a hobby; it was her life. The foundation of Christina's love for music and singing began in her childhood home. During the family's devotion time, her mother would assemble Christina and her siblings around the coffee table for prayer before starting their day. During this devotional time, they would sing songs and hymns of praise that formed a blended ensemble. This intensified Christina's love for singing and a passion that would later inspire her in songwriting.
Christina began publicly singing at nine in her home church, Mount Calvary Holy Church in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. She sang 99 ½ won't do (one of the family's devotional songs), and the audience cheered for her with a standing ovation. Captivated by this experience, she began pursuing it wholeheartedly, now walking in her desire to do more singing. Christina sang in the youth, young adult, and later the adult choir. She was often asked to lead solos, and although bashful and shy, she blossomed and discovered many other gifts watered at Mt. Calvary Holy Church. She found herself seeking to discover God's whole purpose for her life. Her seeking deepened a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and led to her serving in leadership capacities as a Youth Sunday School teacher, Youth Choir director, and church finance assistant. It was not fulfilling enough to sing songs about Jesus Christ; she desired to know whom she was singing to. It was the grace of God through Jesus Christ that she found purpose and aimed to empower others to experience this same grace. As a result of her commitment to service and participation, it led to her being one of the Worship Leaders of Mount Calvary Holy Church.
Christina, at her core, is a worshipper, encourager, motivational speaker, mentor, and, most of all, one who truly loves the LORD and desires to BE the change she wants to see. Christina was given a gift and the ability to lead worshippers into an encounter with God that uplifts the heart and restores joy! She hears the edicts from Heaven and expresses them to the earth through her voice with a yielded heart of service to the LORD. Christina's love of singing, integrated with the desire to empower others, prepared her for GOD'S purpose in her life to a greater degree. God enlarged her territory, and her "YES" to GOD has and will impact everyone to whom she is called with God's leading. Many people witnessed the transforming power of God take root in Christina's life due to her "Yes." As her relationship with GOD grew, so did her desire to see others experience this same grace through Christ. Christina's conviction of deepening her commitment to sharing the good news of Christ became so intense she felt the desire to do more.
In 2005, Christina entered the Gospel Music Channel's Gospel Dream Competition in Atlanta, GA, informally billed as American Idol in the Gospel genre. Christina shot to fame after being a finalist in the Gospel Dream Competition and was signed to the Zomba Gospel Label/Verity Gospel Label CD. She recorded a compilation CD called "Gospel Dream,"; released in April 2007. Her rendition of "Your Grace is Amazing," pinned by Grammy Award Winner Aaron Lindsey, won her fans throughout the gospel community. She was invited to perform at Bishop Paul Morton's Full Gospel Fellowship Conference in 2007, sharing the stage with Fred Hammond, Kim Burrell, Israel & New Breed, Kelly Price, Kirk Franklin, and a list of others. Christina released her debut single, "The Best of Me, "available on all major digital distribution sites. She is working on her debut Album entitled "Just Me" and believes this album will promote a desire to experience an intimate encounter with Jesus Christ. Christina is also working on her book, "My Journey to a place called FREE."
Currently living in North Carolina, Christina is a loving and devoted friend, sister, and mother of three: Brittany, Jasimen, and Christopher. Spreading the love of Jesus Christ is her life's mission, and intends to live out what she believes and sings. Christina's favorite scripture and vow to The Lord is Psalms 27:4 "One thing have I desired of the LORD, and that will I seek after, to dwell in the house of THE LORD forever.

During the winter season of my journey, I was told by someone "no one would ever want to hear me sing". I heeded to that voice and for a short time, stopped singing. This led to soul seraching and prayer to inquire of God who I really am and what was his plan is for my life. The music began to flow in a way I had not experienced before.

This scripture reminds me of why everything in life are valuable and are to be used as teachable moments. I'm inspired by every season of my life. I make every experience one that will inspire a song that uplifts myself first and prayerfully reassures others of the hope that is within them.
